At the heart of the Parliament Centre of The Hague, located at a prestigious spot opposite the Royal Palace Noordeinde, Hotel Indigo The Hague – Palace Noordeinde opened its doors in 2018. Once occupied by “De Nederlandsche Bank”, our boutique hotel has 63 rooms, a restaurant Stocks&Bonds (34 seats), a beautiful terrace (80 seats) overlooking Palace Noordeinde, a unique vault area with The Gold Bar (30 seats) and two meeting rooms/private dining spaces that borrow some of these unique elements in its décor. As Head Bartender you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the bar and be part of an energetic team that is changing the game. Guest Experience

• Deliver warm, personal, and intuitive service that reflects the character of the neighbourhood and hotel.
• Encourage the team to share local stories, recommendations, and authentic connections with guests.
• Create an atmosphere where guests feel like locals rather than tourists.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery with professionalism, empathy, and confidence.

Leadership

• Lead, coach, and motivate the bartender team during shifts.

Operations

• Supervise bar operations of our terrace, restaurant and Gold bar.
• Ensure smooth service flow, cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with hygiene standards & Indigo brand standards.
• Coordinate closely with the service team.
• Assist with inventory control, ordering, and stock management.
• Implement new beverage menu's and maintain consistency.
• Monitor quality, consistency, and efficiency throughout service periods.

Commercial

• Support upselling initiatives through authentic recommendations and product knowledge.
• Contribute ideas for local collaborations, seasonal activations, and neighbourhood partnerships.
• Help drive guest satisfaction, repeat business, and positive reviews.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a head bartender or senior service role in hospitality.
• Experience in boutique hotels, lifestyle hospitality, or independent restaurants is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding beverage, and service operations.
• Experience leading teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• In possession of a Social Responsibility certificate (big plus).
• Good knowledge of HACCP standards.
