Job summary

Merck Gruppe - MSD Sharp & Dohme in the Netherlands offers an internship in the Supplier Development & Performance Management (SD&PM) department for HBO students in their 2nd or 3rd year pursuing a B.S./B.A. in engineering, science, manufacturing or related technical field.

The role provides hands-on experience with supplier performance and process improvement. You will work on improving supplier processes, apply Six Sigma/Lean methods, perform risk assessments, and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• HBO student in 2nd or 3rd year pursuing a B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing or related technical field.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on work to improve supplier manufacturing and business processes.
• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean) and tools (SPC, Visual Management, Capability Assessments, 5-Why, Fishbone, CAPA).
• Perform risk assessments and develop risk mitigation plans.
• Understand group dynamics within working communities and foster collaboration.
• Contribute to innovation and process improvements across the SD&P M function.
