Job summary

microTECH Global LTD is seeking a senior Electronics Engineer / Hardware Architect with strong experience in high-speed board design for embedded systems. The role centers on defining CPU-to-board architecture and critical interfaces such as PCIe Gen3, Gigabit Ethernet and LPDDR5 for an edge-AI board.

The consultant will join the design team for a new board, supporting bring-up and validation. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Senior Electronics Engineer / Hardware Architect with strong experience in high-speed board design for embedded systems.
• Proven experience on at least one of: Arm Cortex-A processors (i.MX 9 series, e.g. i.MX 95) or SoC-FPGA with 64bit Arm Cortex-A cores.

Responsibilities

• Define CPU-to-board architecture and critical interfaces: PCIe Gen3, Gigabit Ethernet, and LPDDR5 memory.
• Perform stack-up reviews and provide signal-integrity guidance.
• Review schematics and PCB layout.
• Support board bring-up and validation where possible.

Job description

We are also looking for a senior Electronics Engineer / Hardware Architect with strong experience in high-speed board design for embedded systems.

We need proven experience on at least one of the following platforms:

• Arm Cortex-A application processors, ideally NXP i.MX 9 series (e.g. i.MX 95)
• SoC-FPGAs with 64bit Arm Cortex-A cores

The consultant will join the design team for a new board for a key customer. The board combines an embedded Arm host with an AI accelerator, for an edge-AI application. The role covers:

• Definition of the CPU to board architecture and of the critical interface areas: PCIe (Gen3, host to Metis AIPU), Gigabit Ethernet, and LPDDR5 memory
• Stack-up review and signal-integrity guidance
• Schematic and PCB layout review
• Support at board bring-up and validation, if possible

Fluent in English.
Preferred location is Italy or the Eindhoven area. The work is mostly remote, with occasional on-site trips for face-to-face alignment meetings.

Full 100 % FTE ideally from Oct 26th. Three months duration, extendible.
