Job summary

Atlassian is seeking an Enterprise Security Engineer to implement, operate, and improve security controls across identity, endpoints, cloud, data, and workforce tech. You will translate security strategy into practical, measurable controls and secure-by-default solutions that minimize risk without slowing business.

The role partners with Enterprise IT, Corporate Engineering, SRE, Platform teams, and Legal to deliver scalable security improvements.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, cloud security, systems engineering, or enterprise technology.
• Hands-on experience implementing, operating, and maintaining security controls across identity, endpoints, cloud, and data protection domains.
• Experience with IAM, SSO/MFA, and access governance (Okta, Google Workspace, Azure AD / Entra ID).
• Experience automating security tasks using scripting and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across identity, endpoints, cloud, SaaS, and data protection domains.
• Remediate gaps in access controls, device posture, and data protections.
• Roll out secure baseline configurations and paved-path implementations.
• Participate in security reviews for new tools and SaaS integrations.
• Support integration of physical security with identity platforms and manage access lifecycles.
• Build automation scripts and maintain CI/CD security checks.
• Monitor postures, runbooks, and SOPs; contribute to incident reviews.
