Job summary

Target is seeking a Guest Advocate to enhance the shopping experience in store. You will greet guests, assist with returns and exchanges, and promote Target loyalty programs while guiding customers through Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.

The role requires flexible hours including nights and weekends; you will help guests find items, reduce wait times, and uphold safety and service standards across the store.

• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts andassistpeers in other areas whilemaintaininga positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Make the guest aware of current promos,storeactivitiesand events.Understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the TargetAppincluding Wallet.
• Know and speaktothe benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest andassistwith application,sign-up, and signing inas needed.
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently,accuratelyand in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time whilemaintainingguest service and accuracy.
• Be familiar withOrder Pick-Up, Drive Up andonlineordering,and know how to direct the guest to enroll, activate and use these features.
• Attempt every returnor exchangeand follow register prompts;partnerwith immediateleaders as needed to help solveissuesfor the guestwhile following Target’s policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, clutter free work areabygatheringunpurchaseditems, baskets, and hangersfor removal.
• Stock supplies during storeopenhours while being availablefor the guest.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct,safetyand compliance.
• Work in a safe mannerat all times;comply withall safety policies,best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as order pick up (OPU), Drive-up (DU) Orders,DUReturns andmaintaina compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and localadult beveragelaws.
