Job summary

GitLab is seeking an Intermediate Fullstack Engineer (Ruby/Vue.js) for its Growth team. You will shape how users discover, activate, and adopt GitLab by designing experiments and onboarding experiences that boost activation and retention.

Remote, asynchronous collaboration across Product, Design, and Data Analysts is central. You will work on backend Rails and frontend Vue.js, translating data-driven insights into scalable product improvements for millions of users.

Qualifications

• Professional experience with Ruby on Rails and modern JavaScript, preferably Vue.js.
• Solid Git and source-control expertise with deployment workflows.
• Hands-on in designing, running and analyzing A/B tests and experiments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and iterate on A/B tests and experiments across GitLab's platform to improve key growth metrics.
• Build and optimize onboarding flows, in-product prompts, and personalization features that help users realize value.
• Implement backend features in Ruby on Rails and contribute to frontend experiences using Vue.js.
• Analyze experiment data with Data Analysts to translate insights into actionable improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to refine hypotheses and ship high-impact features.
• Maintain and improve the Growth team's experimentation framework and tooling for scalable testing.
• Work across GitLab's codebase with other Engineering teams to integrate growth-focused capabilities.
• Document decisions and participate in code reviews to support remote, asynchronous work.
