Job summary

KNDS N.V. is seeking a Group ICS Officer to design, coordinate and enhance the Internal Control System across the KNDS Group and its international subsidiaries. You will define standards, coordinate testing, and serve as the central liaison with external auditors to ensure robust controls.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience in internal controls, ERP systems, and ITGCs, with strong English proficiency; French or German is a plus and willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Internal Controls or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of recognised Internal Control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
• Experience with end-to-end business processes in manufacturing; defence industry exposure desired.
• Familiarity with IT General Controls (ITGCs) and Application Controls; ERP systems experience.
• Excellent English (C2); French and/or German is a plus.

What to expect

As a Group ICS Officer, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating and continuously enhancing the Internal Control System (ICS) across the Group including KNDS N.V., KNDS France, KNDS Deutschland and its national and international subsidiaries. Working closely with local ICS Officers, you will:

• Define group-wide minimum control standards to adequately mitigate key risks and ensure their consistent implementation across all entities
• Establish and continuously improve the Group’s ICS framework, including processes, policies and procedures, as well as a robust reporting structure
• Oversee and coordinate ICS testing activities across the Group and serve as the central interface for external auditors
• Select, manage and further develop the Group’s ICS
• Foster a strong internal control culture by promoting accountability, ownership and risk awareness throughout the organisation
• Build, develop and continuously strengthen an international network of key ICS stakeholders
• Regularly report on the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group’s ICS to senior management and the Audit & Compliance Committee

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Internal Controls or comparable functions (e.g. risk management, compliance, internal or external audit), gained either within an audit firm serving industrial clients or within an international manufacturing organisation
• Strong knowledge of recognised Internal Control frameworks, such as COSO
• Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end business processes, including reporting, compliance and operational processes within manufacturing environments; experience in the defence industry is highly desirable
• Familiarity with IT General Controls (ITGCs) and Application Controls, as well as practical experience working with ERP systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (C2 level); proficiency in French and/or German would be an advantage
• Proven experience in engaging with senior management and supervisory bodies
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately one-third of the time), primarily within a European context
