Job summary

Marconi Associates, a global Supply Chain Automation company, is seeking an Information Security Engineer (IT/OT) in Amsterdam. The role is hybrid, with on-site collaboration and remote work, and may require occasional travel to customers.

You will lead IT/OT security, embed a security-first mindset across technology solutions and product development, and drive risk assessments, audits, and incident response while ensuring GDPR, NIS2, and ISO 27001 compliance.

Information Security Engineer (IT/OT)

Amsterdam, Netherlands (Hybrid)

Our client is a global Supply Chain Automation company (partnering with brands like NIKE & DHL) and are setting up a new European HQ in Amsterdam. They’re looking for someone to lead IT/OT security and embed a security-first mindset across technology solutions and product development.

The role focuses on safeguarding Information technology and operational technology environments through risk assessments, implementing security measures, and ensuring compliance with European regulations.

You will be working in a hybrid work environment, which is a combination of on-site and remote/home-office. Customer travel from time to time may also be a requirement.

Overview

• Strengthen Security Culture – Collaborate with business and tech leaders to embed security into all operations.
• Risk Management & Compliance – Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks while ensuring adherence to NIS2 & GDPR.
• Security Audits & Assessments – Conduct audits, penetration testing, and vendor risk evaluations.
• Incident Response & Threat Mitigation – Lead security investigations, respond to incidents, and drive post-event analysis.
• Drive Innovation – Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies to enhance security strategy.

Requirements

• Experience in security and an Information Security Engineering role.
• Regulatory Compliance: Strong knowledge of GDPR, NIS2, SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC2.
• Security Operations & Incident Response: Experience with risk assessments, audits, and incident response planning.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in security tools and cloud security (CSPM tools)
• Collaboration & Communication: Ability to engage with internal teams, customers, and partners at all levels.
• OT Security & Emerging Tech: Knowledge of OT security challenges and ability to evaluate new security technologies.
• Language Skills: Fluent in English (German or Dutch is a plus)
