Job summary

All Options, a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Amsterdam, invites graduates to a six-month training program combining theory with market-making experience. You will learn options theory, trading systems, and shadowing with experienced traders.

As a Graduate Trader, you will price and trade options on listed instruments, manage daily positions and risk, and collaborate with traders and developers to refine pricing parameters and system settings.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (STEM, econometrics, statistics or related).
• Strong interest in option trading and financial markets with relevant coursework or experience.
• Willingness to learn programming (Python) and research trading strategies.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Graduate Trader, you will undergo an extensive six-month training program that combines advanced theory with hands-on market-making experience.

Your journey includes :

• First 4 Weeks : Mastering the fundamentals of options theory, trading systems, and tools through engaging lectures and hands-on shadowing sessions led by our experienced traders.
• Next Phase : Putting your knowledge into action by managing a limited portfolio under the close guidance of a mentor trader, complemented by continuous coaching, training, and performance monitoring.

In this role, you will :

• Prepare for each trading day: follow market news and events, and understand the products we trade. Translate the risk and payoff characteristics of options into well-reasoned volatility prices.
• Take responsibility for pricing and trading options on listed instruments, making real-time discretionary decisions from the screen.
• Manage and optimise your daily positions and risk throughout the day.
• Continuously monitor the market to spot and act on opportunities as they arise.
• Work closely with traders and developers, giving them feedback to adjust pricing parameters and system settings as market conditions change.
• Write scripts and small tools where they help your own trading workflow. Coding is a useful supplementary skill; larger systems are built by our developers and quant traders.
• Your impact is measured primarily by trading performance and the quality of your decisions in live markets.

Your Profile:

• A Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field: STEM, Statistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance (or related fields).
• A strong interest in (option) trading and financial markets, supported by relevant coursework or experience.
• A willingness to learn new skills, such as programming (Python), and a commitment to researching and improving trading strategies.
• Exceptional numerical, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to innovate.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Currently based in Europe
