As a Graduate Quantitative Trader, you will undergo an extensive six-month training program that combines advanced theory with hands‑on market‑making experience.
Your journey includes:
- First 4 Weeks: Mastering the fundamentals of options theory, trading systems, and tools through engaging lectures and hands‑on shadowing sessions led by our experienced traders.
- Next Phase: Applying your knowledge by contributing to a research or development project aligned with your assigned desk’s current focus, working under the close guidance of a mentor quant, and supported by ongoing coaching, technical training, and performance feedback.
In this role, you will:
- Learn options theory and our business operations, then apply them by researching and designing systematic strategies rather than trading by hand.
- Build and backtest signals, pricing tools, and automated trading algorithms, and take them from idea to production within your first months.
- Spend most of your time on research and development: analysing data, testing hypotheses, and finding statistical edge.
- Monitor live strategy performance, diagnose why it deviates from expectations, and improve it.
- Enhance and extend our pricing models and volatility analytics.
- Own and improve core parts of the codebase and tech stack (Python/C++ etc., adjust to your stack). Programming is a daily, central part of the job, not a side task.
- Contribute to P&L through the strategies and tools you build; your impact is measured by the quality and performance of your systematic work rather than by discretionary trading calls.
Your Profile:
- A Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative field: STEM, Statistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Finance (or related fields).
- Strong interest in option trading and financial markets, demonstrated through courses attended and/or experience.
- Result‑driven and able to prioritize.
- Strong at pattern recognition.
- You excel at applying theoretical knowledge to practical challenges.
- Coding is second nature to you, with Python experience considered a valuable asset.
- Ready to excel in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Currently based in Europe.
