Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, transport, logistics, data science, applied physics, maritime engineering or similar.
• Experience with programming and modelling and an interest in optimisation and data driven modelling.
• Interest in planning, soil movements, transport logistics and use of project data.
• Ability to conduct research, compare methods and test results using data.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

• Research existing models for soil logistics and transport optimisation and relevant planning methods.
• Analyse and improve the current planning and optimisation method used by Soilbalance.
• Incorporate realistic production rates, capacities, dependencies and project conditions.
• Investigate how project data can be used for monitoring, predictions and replanning.
• Test the approach with a real project case and assess results and practical value.
