Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company based in the Netherlands, is seeking a Head of Vendor Management / Associate Director to lead the ongoing evolution of vendor management in a regulated, international pharmaceutical and life sciences environment.

You will develop a centralized vendor strategy, strengthen supplier partnerships, and ensure external services meet quality, compliance, and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Outsourcing, or Partnership Management within regulated life sciences environments.
• Proven track record of developing and optimizing vendor networks and supplier relationships.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and large-scale contracts.
• Ability to design and implement governance, performance metrics, and risk management processes.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a centralized vendor management and procurement strategy.
• Build and maintain strategic vendor partnerships to support objectives and service quality.
• Lead commercial negotiations and drive pricing strategies for value and efficiency.
• Oversee vendor lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding, governance and offboarding.
• Collaborate with Legal, Quality, and Contract Management to ensure compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and implement scalable vendor management processes.
• Provide training and mentorship to develop team capabilities.
