ING Global Consulting, the in‑house management consulting team within the Global Change & Transformation department, seeks a Senior Management Consultant to lead high‑impact transformation assignments across ING. You will shape engagements from sponsor conversations to final recommendations, manage senior relationships, and coach colleagues while driving data‑driven decisions across global workstreams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in management consulting, preferably including experience at a leading external consultancy and substantial work in financial services.
• A strong record of independently shaping and leading complex, high‑impact assignments for senior sponsors, from problem definition through implementation.
• Proven experience in leading and developing consulting teams while remaining hands-on when the assignment requires it.
• Deep knowledge of banking and one or more relevant functional areas, with the ability to turn that knowledge into sharper choices and practical recommendations.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Dutch is an advantage.
• Experience working in an agile environment is an advantage.

• Shape assignment portfolios, secure engagements and ensure quality delivery.
• Develop colleagues and raise the standard of our consulting practice.
• Guide data‑driven decision‑making and ensure evidence‑based recommendations.
• Build and maintain a strong senior network and earn repeat mandates.
• Lead, coach and develop other consultants.
• Take ownership of internal initiatives that strengthen Global Consulting.
