Job summary

Smith is seeking an Export Compliance Analyst in Amsterdam to support Operations and Legal teams by ensuring compliance with regional and global trade regulations.

You will advise management, address import/export controls, assist audits, and collaborate with licensing, quality control, and freight forwarders to document international shipments.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and clear communication in English are essential to balance regulatory requirements with business goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of trade compliance experience.
• 3+ years HTS database management experience.
• Proficient oral and written English communication.
• Detail oriented and well organized.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Understand regional and global rules and regulatory requirements.
• Advise management and adapt processes to meet regulations.
• Support import/export controls and related compliance activities.
• Assist audits and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain customs-related master data and classifications.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure proper documentation for shipments.
