Job summary

Caely Renewables seeks a Head of Trading Certificates to lead renewable trading across power, gas, and certificates in markets including Spain, Sweden, Norway, Italy, and the USA. You will own strategy, portfolio performance, and P&L delivery across horizons, aligning with risk appetite and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Energy Management, or a related field
• 5–10+ years of experience in financial, commodity, power, gas, or renewable energy trading, with strong exposure to European wholesale energy markets
• Willingness and ability to travel to the USA 4–6 times per year
• Proven commercial trading track record, including P&L responsibility, portfolio management, and execution of trading strategies in volatile markets
• Experience managing and optimizing power, gas and/or biomethane portfolios, with strong understanding of physical and financial energy flows
• Strong programming or coding skills (e.g. Python or similar), with experience using data, automation, and analytics to support trading decisions
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing trading teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities, develop strategies, and drive revenue growth
• Fluency in English; additional European languages are considered a plus
