Job summary

Caely Renewables in Amsterdam is seeking a Sales Trader to build mid- and senior-level relationships with utilities, developers, corporates, generators, and industrials, and to close transactions in environmental markets. You will trade carbon offsets, renewable power and gas certificates, energy efficiency certificates, transport quotas, and related products.

The role starts in Amsterdam with potential to help launch the German office after 6–12 months.

Qualifications

Native German speaker and fluent in English.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, or equivalent.
1–3 years’ experience in commodities trading, brokering, or business development.
Self-starter with ambition to become a knowledge leader in environmental commodities.
Articulate and precise communicator with strong feedback skills.
Interest in climate change and energy markets.

Responsibilities

Develop mid- and senior-level relationships with utilities, developers, corporates, generators, and industrials.
Close transactions that meet client and Caely’s demands.
Trade products like carbon offsets, renewable certificates, biofuels, transport quotas.
Build the customer database through proactive outreach and market research.
Create and structure commodity deals to benefit customers and Caely.
