Job summary

JDE Peet’s in Utrecht seeks a Global Digital Product Owner, R&D to maximize value across the R&D digital product portfolio. You will lead the product strategy, set roadmaps, and align stakeholders across business and technology to deliver measurable outcomes in product development, innovation, and compliance.

You will translate business needs into actionable requirements, drive agile delivery, and harness metrics to improve adoption and portfolio performance in a global team.

Qualifications

• University degree in business, R&D, science, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in product strategy, requirements management, process ownership, product management, or technology-enabled business transformation.
• Strong understanding of R&D business processes and digital solutions supporting product development, innovation management, quality, laboratory operations, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to translate business objectives and user needs into product roadmaps, priorities, measurable outcomes, and business value.
• Experience applying product management and agile methodologies in complex delivery environments and balancing competing priorities and dependencies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technology functions.

Responsibilities

• Shape and maintain the integrated R&D digital product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with R&D strategy, enterprise priorities, and long-term portfolio objectives.
• Own and prioritize the product portfolio and backlog, making decisions based on business value, user impact, regulatory requirements, cost, risk, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with R&D stakeholders, Business Process Owners, users, and delivery teams to translate business needs into clear product requirements, features, and priorities.
• Drive delivery and release planning across agile and hybrid delivery environments, coordinating dependencies and ensuring successful adoption of new capabilities.
• Use business metrics, operational insights, and user feedback to improve product quality, user experience, and portfolio performance.
• Promote continuous improvement through application rationalization, process harmonization, data quality enhancement, compliance management, and innovation across the R&D application landscape.
