Job summary

APM Terminals in The Hague seeks a Global Head of PMO to lead the project management and contract management disciplines across its growth portfolio, ensuring adherence to stage-gate processes and proactive risk management.

You will drive standardized standards, foster AI-enabled project analytics, coordinate global PMO resources, and align with HSSE and international contracting standards.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in project management within heavy industry, handling large-scale projects (> $100 million USD).
• Experience in project controls, project execution, and contract management.
• Strong background in project management methodologies such as APM and PMBOK.
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and international contract standards is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of Project Management Officers and specialists.
• Own and enhance the stage-gate process and prioritize projects.
• Develop and maintain PM standards, tools, and processes aligned with corporate standards.
• Oversee deployment of PMO resources across projects and ensure optimal support.
• Drive governance, risk management, and portfolio reporting to stakeholders.
• Promote adoption of AI-powered tools and analytics for planning and forecasting.
• Establish and lead a corporate contract management setup across projects.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to maximize value delivery and align with strategic priorities.
• Maintain forward-looking risk registers and mitigation strategies.
• Support HSSE through continuous safety and excellence initiatives.
