Job summary

GEA Group in Bakel, Netherlands, is seeking a PLC Software Engineer to design and realize software for our machines and production lines, spanning lifecycle development.

You will develop software solo or in teams, install applications globally, and train customers. The role requires English fluency, willingness to travel 10–20%, and experience in similar functions; knowledge of IEC 61131-3, Structured Text, Rockwell, B&R PLCs, and Java is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Self-motivated, result driven, team player.
• Willingness to travel globally (10 to 20%).
• Fluent in English, spoken and written.
• Experience within similar function is preferred.
• Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 and Structured Text is a preferred.
• Knowledge of Rockwell is preferred.
• Knowledge of B&R PLC's is preferred.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming software (Java) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and realization of software for single machines and complete production lines.
• Develop and program software solo or in a team depending on project size.
• Install standard and customer-specific applications globally at customers.
• Provide remote support to colleagues worldwide.
• Train customers on machines and software applications.
• Translate customer requests into workable software solutions.
