Job summary

A leading automation technology firm in the Netherlands is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to oversee a team responsible for designing and developing PLC control systems for automated machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, a proven track record in team leadership, and extensive PLC programming experience. This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Dutch and English is essential, and the position may involve travel.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of related electrical engineering experience and machine development.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a team lead/manager position.
• Good knowledge of the Dutch and English language; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing team of 4 PLC/Software Engineers.
• Design, configure, program, test and manage PLC control systems.
• Identify, solve/debug and report problems related to control and HMI.
