Job summary

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and operate our global network and security infrastructure.

You will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and the CISO organization to strengthen our security posture in a multi-region environment. The role blends hands-on engineering with governance activities, delivering secure, highly available data flows while driving improvements across Europe, the US, and APAC.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and network security in regulated/financial environments.
• Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, core protocols like BGP/OSPF).
• Proven experience with firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS solutions.
• Experience designing and supporting secure, highly available data center networks.
• Strong security-by-design understanding and secure network architecture.
• Ability to present to governance boards and liaise with auditors.

• Lead network and security projects and technical improvements.
• Drive network security, resilience, and operational excellence across the environment.
