Job summary

Bayer AG in the Netherlands seeks an International Market Development Representative to drive global market development for the De Ruiter portfolio. Based at the De Ruiter Experience Center in Bleiswijk, you will coordinate international trial plans and accelerate portfolio adoption through collaboration with customer-facing teams, R&D and growers.

The role requires full-time on-site presence, a 38-hour work week, and travel across EMEA, Asia, and AMPAC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Science, Crop Science, or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years in a high-tech greenhouse and customer-facing role.
• Expertise in high-tech horticulture, seeds, crop production, agronomy, or portfolio development.
• Strong commercial understanding of grower economics, trial design, variety positioning, and market drivers.
• Proven ability to lead cross-regional initiatives and translate market insights into business impact.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and spoken; other languages are a plus.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally several times per year.
• Based in the Netherlands, preferably in Rotterdam area.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted portfolio and crop expert for customer-facing teams and a network of leading growers.
• Lead and coordinate international market-development trial plans across EMEA, Asia and AMPAC.
• Drive strategic market-extension plans for new variety launches across regions.
• Connect market insights to strengthen portfolio positioning and support future innovation.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange across regions and scale successful approaches globally.
• Leverage the Bayer Experience Center as a global platform for hosting visitors and partnerships.
• Build and maintain relationships with growers, influencers and internal stakeholders.
