Job summary

Hunter Douglas Europe is seeking a Junior Product Development Engineer to grow in a hands-on role within an international environment. You will help develop new products, create 3D CAD models, run validations, and support production ramp-ups.

You will collaborate with global engineering teams in Germany and other Hunter Douglas companies, contributing to manufacturability and quality improvements while delivering clear drawings for manuals and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
• 0–3 years of experience (graduates welcome).
• Experience with 3D CAD (Creo is a plus).
• Proactive mindset, eye for detail, and strong team spirit.
• Good command of English; Dutch and/or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of new products and components from concept to industrialisation.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models and production drawings.
• Assist with technical calculations, testing, and product validation.
• Support production processes and production ramp-ups.
• Drive improvements in functionality, quality, and manufacturability.
• Work closely with an international team of engineers, including colleagues in Germany and other Hunter Douglas companies.
• Collaborate with the documentation team to deliver accurate drawings for assembly and installation manuals.
• Cooperate with product management, production, purchasing, and marketing teams.
