Job summary

B Lab is seeking an IT Security & Compliance Lead to own security governance across the global network, raising our security posture proactively. You will conduct audits, set baselines and coordinate incident response with stakeholders across regions.

The role also supports data protection compliance and policy maintenance, partnering with Legal, IT and product teams to safeguard information and systems. Remote-first with Amsterdam/London proximity.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in information security, IT governance, risk and compliance (GRC)
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance
• Experience conducting security audits, risk assessments and vendor security reviews
• Familiarity with data protection regulations (GDPR, LGPD)
• Experience developing or maintaining incident response and continuity plans

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain security baseline aligned to a recognized framework (ISO 27001 or similar)
• Coordinate external testing and vulnerability scanning; track remediation
• Define and monitor access control standards across core platforms
• Advise on secure-by-design practices across products and services
• Own and maintain incident response plan and lead during security incidents
• Support data protection compliance and partner with Legal and HR on policy matters
• Maintain security awareness programs and documentation for audits
