Ampelmann is seeking an HSE Engineer to act as the central contact for health, safety and environmental matters. You will guide on HSE topics, support standards implementation, and ensure safety is integrated into daily operations across Delft, Rotterdam, and global sites.

You will work across Delft and Rotterdam offices with some home-working, regular on-site presence, and occasional international travel. A background in HSE with ISO knowledge and strong English communication is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education or training in occupational health and safety (IVK/MVK preferred).
• More than 2 years of QHSE experience in offshore, maritime, energy, manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Knowledge of HSE legislation and management systems; risk assessment, incident investigation, internal audits, data analysis, HSE reporting, contractor management and compliance monitoring.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is a plus.
• Excellent communication in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Willingness to travel worldwide once or twice a year for one or two weeks.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and improve the HSE Management System and policies.
• Assess risks, inspect workplaces, support safety reviews.
• Monitor HSE performance and analyze trends; report incidents.
• Lead incident investigations and follow-up with corrective actions.
• Organise HSE training and safety campaigns.
• Support contractor safety management and share lessons.
