ABB, located in Ede, is seeking a proactive HSE Specialist to lead safety, health, and environmental initiatives on site. You will drive improvements, support audits, and collaborate with production, sales, and leadership to embed HSE practices.

The role requires a HBO-level degree, HVK qualification, 5+ years in HSE, and knowledge of ISO standards. Fluency in Dutch and English is essential, with a competitive package and extensive development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree level (HBO) working and thinking capability.
• A completed Higher Safety Management (HVK) qualification.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role (HSE Specialist/Safety Advisor).
• Experience with ISO certifications and management systems.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering and NEN 3140 is advantageous.
• Ability to translate legislation into concrete actions and plans.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking and communication skills.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Drive behavioral change and raise awareness on health, safety, and environment topics.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, policies, procedures, and certification requirements.
• Implement new legislation, internal directives, and HSE initiatives.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, inspections, and reviews.
• Develop, maintain, and improve HSE procedures, work instructions, and reporting.
• Investigate incidents and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure availability of safety equipment, tools, and PPE.
• Support HSE activities in manufacturing and commercial departments.
