Job summary

Catawiki, based in Amsterdam, seeks a Senior Director, People Operations and Facilities to lead the operational backbone of People across countries. You will set strategic direction for People Operations, Payroll, Reward and Benefits, Compliance, Employee relations & Wellbeing, Facilities and Workplace Experience.

You will drive scalable, compliant processes, enable automation and AI, govern controls, and provide insights to leadership.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in international People Operations
• Experience leading multi-country operations at scale
• Knowledge of Netherlands employment law and European practices
• Experience with reward and benefits benchmarking
• Proficient in English; Dutch is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Define strategic roadmap for People Operations, payroll, well-being and facilities
• Lead and develop People Operations, payroll and facilities teams and well-being experts
• Strengthen people operations across the employee lifecycle using automation and AI
• Ensure compliance with payroll, tax, audit and ESG requirements
• Oversee employee relations, wellbeing and absence management
• Own facilities and workplace experience strategy for Amsterdam and Lisbon offices
• Act as escalation point for complex people, operational and workplace matters
• Evolve reward and benefits strategy with the CPO, including benchmarking
