Job summary

LYNX is seeking a senior Team Lead Legal - Legal Counsel to oversee the legal function across the organisation with strategic direction on regulatory matters. You lead a team, ensure governance, and coordinate cross‑border legal topics for international activities.

You will advise management, work with Compliance, Risk, Finance, Operations and IT, and develop the legal roadmap to keep the company legally prepared in a dynamic regulatory landscape.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as an external lawyer and/or in-house Legal Counsel.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch legislation and financial regulatory frameworks (BW, Wft, Bgfo, Wwft).
• Familiarity with European regulatory frameworks (MAR, GDPR, DORA, MiFID II, IFR, IFD).

Responsibilities

• Safeguard LYNX’s legal and regulatory integrity across the organisation.
• Provide legal and regulatory support and translate regulations into practical guidance.
• Lead and supervise a team of legal and support professionals.
• Own and maintain the company‑wide legal roadmap and reporting to management.
• Develop the legal framework aligned with Dutch and European requirements.
• Oversee annual legal roadmap with horizon scanning of new laws.
• Act as internal point of contact for legal matters across departments.
• Represent LYNX to regulators, affiliates, auditors and external stakeholders.
• Ensure policies and SOPs stay accurate and compliant.
• Coordinate cross‑border legal topics within the international organisation.
• Drive continuous improvement of legal processes and governance.
• Take end‑to‑end accountability for legal outcomes and regulatory readiness.
• Provide strategic direction for the legal function and team development.
