Job summary

Destinus is seeking a Director of Accounting & Controlling to own IFRS and local GAAP reporting across a multi‑entity international group. You will lead the group close, consolidate financial results, and ensure audit‑ready numbers with robust controls.

You will partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Operations, building scalable processes and configuring ERP systems (Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle). This role reports to the CFO and requires deep accounting expertise and leadership across Europe.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive Accounting, Controlling, or Finance experience within a multi-entity European environment.
• Public company experience is required.
• Deep technical knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Experience owning group accounting policies and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual group close across all consolidated entities with accurate reporting.
• Own the group close calendar and drive cross-functional execution (Accounting, Controlling, FP&A, Tax, Treasury).
• Escalate and resolve complex accounting issues without compromising quality or timelines.
• Coordinate consolidation adjustments, intercompany eliminations, and currency translation.
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and standardization across the group.
• Drive ERP and finance system improvements (Dynamics 365, ERP configurations, VAT, transfer pricing).
• Oversee group cost accounting (standard vs. actual costing, WIP, variance analysis).
• Mentor Controllers and Accounting Managers across the group.
