Job summary

ING Tech seeks a Lead Global Green Tech to steer the sustainability agenda across ING’s global technology organisation. You will align initiatives, balance stakeholder needs and translate ambitious goals into measurable outcomes.

You will work with senior leaders to drive adoption of green engineering practices, build networks of sustainability advocates and embed environmental considerations into architecture and delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading complex change initiatives in large organisations.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Proven track record delivering sustainability and technology transformation programmes.
• Experience influencing senior executives and managing diverse stakeholder interests.
• Ability to build and lead cross‑functional teams without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritise the Green Tech portfolio and roadmap, balancing stakeholder demand, business value, regulatory requirements and implementation capacity to maximise impact.
• Develop the strategy and drive delivery of sustainability initiatives across the technology organisation and ensure measurable business outcomes.
• Use environmental, operational and financial data to identify improvement opportunities and continuously optimise Green Tech outcomes.
• Influence and align senior stakeholders across Technology, Business, Risk and Support Functions.
• Drive adoption of Green Tech capabilities by translating sustainability ambitions into scalable products, services, standards and measurable business outcomes.
• Build and nurture a network of sustainability advocates, communities and subject matter experts.
• Identify emerging trends, regulatory developments and industry best practices and translate them into actionable opportunities for ING.
• Combine the strategic vision and value orientation of a Product Manager with the leadership capabilities of a Change Expert.
• Ensure sustainability considerations become an integral part of technology decision‑making and operations.
