Job summary

SNV is seeking a seasoned Business Control Advisor to lead FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting for a global, project-based organization. You will drive analytics, executive storytelling, and data-driven decision support across multiple countries and functions.

You will modernise planning and analytics with AI-enhanced tools, ensuring strong project financial management, donor compliance, and scalable processes. The role is based in The Hague.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, or equivalent
• 7+ years of FP&A, business control, or analytics in a complex international environment
• Ability to lead planning, budgeting, forecasting, and executive reporting
• Strong analytical and data storytelling skills
• Experience with AI/automation in finance is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A processes: planning, mid-year review, forecasting, and reporting for senior leaders.
• Translate data into concise executive narratives and recommendations for CFO and executives.
• Drive automation and scalability using Power BI, workflow automation, and self-service reporting.
• Strengthen performance insight across corporate, country, and project levels with relevant KPIs.
• Support project finance, cost recovery, donor compliance and data quality for projects.
