Job summary

Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) is seeking a Senior Manager Finance & Operations to lead Finance & Control, IT, and Process management in a dynamic international setting. You will manage a team of five professionals and report to the Chief Operating Officer, shaping budget strategy and ensuring compliant, efficient operations across multiple countries.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Finance or related field, 7+ years in a similar position, and fluency in English and Dutch.

Qualifications

Master degree in Finance/accounting or related field.
At least 7 years of relevant international experience.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting and process improvement.
Strong analytical skills and leadership experience.
Fluency in English and Dutch; EU citizenship or NL permit.

Responsibilities

Lead the Finance & Control, IT, and Process management teams and ensure governance.
Coordinate annual budget, strategy planning and grants management.
Ensure compliance with laws, donor requirements, and tax obligations across countries.
Foster operational efficiency and stakeholder relationships.
Report to COO and be part of Management Team.
