Job summary

CEVA Logistics is seeking a Shipping Agent / Export Agent in Amsterdam to manage export documentation and the operational handling of air, road and ocean freight shipments. You will coordinate with customers, carriers, freight forwarders and internal teams to ensure accurate, on-time shipments.

The role requires Dutch and English proficiency, strong administrative skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, international environment. Weekend standby may be required later.

Qualifications

• MBO+/HBO level in Logistics, Supply Chain or Transportation.
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, export administration, or transportation.
• Proficient in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Stress-resistant with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive mindset with drive to improve processes.
• Experience with ERP and/or TMS is preferred.
• Willing to participate in weekend standby rotation in future.

Responsibilities

• Process and handle air, road, and ocean freight shipments.
• Prepare export docs: Air Waybills, manifests, CMR, etc.
• Be first point of contact for drivers, visitors, and contractors.
• Maintain daily contact with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
• Monitor shipments and follow up on delays and escalations.
• Prepare documents for Customs.
• Register and close shipment files in ERP and TMS.
• Ensure compliance with trade regulations and customer requirements.
• Monitor KPIs and SLAs; seek process improvements.
• Prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a dynamic environment.
