Job summary

Carnival Corporation's CSMART division seeks a seasoned director to lead Maritime Standards - Nautical. You will steer the Fleet Captain program, set priorities, coordinate global nautical standards across our brands, and ensure training translates into onboard practice.

You will develop recommendations, connect training with operations, coach senior maritime professionals, manage travel budgets, and partner with Maritime Professional Development, Operations and other stakeholders to advance

Qualifications

  • At least three years of experience as a Captain on cruise ships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Operations or related field.
  • Valid Master STCW Certificate of Competency.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and work aboard ships.
  • Flexibility to work occasional outside normal hours.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Fleet Captain program and annual deployment plans.
  • Coordinate shipboard reviews, CSMART assignments and SME input.
  • Oversee ship visits and feedback to improve training.
  • Translate fleet learning into course improvements and new solutions.
  • Provide senior nautical SME input to brands and shoreside teams.
  • Manage travel budget and support nautical projects.
