Job summary

Maersk Customs Services is seeking a dedicated Customs Process Administrator to coordinate and organize the full range of customs services from order acceptance to release of goods and clearance. This role includes extensive training in customs legislation and daily support.

The CPA will work within a team to ensure timely, compliant declarations for imports, exports, and transit movements, delivering high-quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Relevant customs experience/certification.
• Knowledge of local customs authorities is an asset.
• Experience handling perishable goods from a customs perspective.
• Experience with customs software is a plus.
• Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office.
• Fluent English; Dutch is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform customs clearances including certificates, solve and offer solutions to incidents.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all Import & Export declarations and Transit Movements.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all financial activities relevant to Customs House Brokerage.
• Collate and present data reports to Management, Customer, Internal Stakeholders, Compliance and Implementation Teams.
• Ensuring that all local customs authorities’/statutory requirements are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a first-class business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders for the team.
• To be an active team member who will exchange knowledge and expertise.
• Proactively lead or actively participate in Customs related projects.
• To ensure training is completed to allow you to cover all accounts in the team.
• To engender team spirit and staff engagement.
