Job summary

Flexport Amsterdam is seeking a Global Customs Associate to join our Customs Team in Amsterdam. You will digitally prepare and file all documentation for import and export, review documents for EU compliance, and classify products to support efficient, accurate customs clearance.

You should have 2-5 years in customs, be comfortable handling high volumes, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Dutch is a plus, and you are ready to challenge the status quo to improve processes.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of current experience in customs.
• Dutch language is a plus.
• Ability to handle a large volume of entries.
• Familiarity with Customs product classification and rulings.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• High level of computer literacy; all digital.

Responsibilities

• Digitally prepare and file all documentation required to customs clear goods (import & export)
• Review and organize incoming documents to ensure compliance with EU Customs Regulations
• Classify products as necessary using GRIs
• Identify the potential for the use of a Preferential Trade Agreement on a per shipment basis
• Maintain excellent working relationship with clients by providing customer service that exceeds client expectations
