Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. in the Netherlands seeks a Compliance professional to support Merit’s Global Compliance Policy, including engagement with healthcare professionals and adherence to Corporate Integrity Agreement.

The role focuses on risk assessment, documentation, HCP engagement management, and reporting transfers of value to health care providers across the EMEA region, with emphasis on accuracy and regulatory compliance. Fluency in French and English is required.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience, such as in the legal or regulatory fields.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in French and English
• Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically.
• Strong technical aptitude and business systems management experience.
• Self-motivated independent worker
• Perform to a high level of accuracy in all tasks, attention to details.
• Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Demonstrated computer skills with spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the compliance office with Merit’s Global Compliance Policy and engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs).
• Identifies, documents and reports findings to the Chief Compliance Officer or Regional Compliance Manager.
• Coordinates with Marketing on HCP budgets and oversees compliance in physician engagements and events.
• Manages screening of contractors with onboarding and due diligence.
• Maintains tracking tools for engaging with and supervising HCP consultants.
• Reports transfers of value to health care providers to ensure Sunshine law compliance in EMEA and other regions.
• Supports online distributor and employee training on anti-corruption laws.
• Maintains ethical and professional standards in the compliance field.
