Deerns seeks a Global Business Development Director to accelerate international growth in semiconductors and advanced technology. You’ll shape commercial strategy, identify opportunities, and unite clients, tech partners and internal experts to forge new business and long-term partnerships.
You’ll connect senior decision makers, drive market leadership, and strengthen the international Electronics team across countries with a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach.
This is an opportunity to take on a senior international commercial leadership role with significant influence on the growth and market position of an established engineering and advisory organisation active in the global semiconductor and advanced technology ecosystem.
You will operate at the forefront of a rapidly developing market, building senior client relationships, identifying opportunities before projects are fully defined and connecting clients, technology partners and internal experts to create new business and long-term partnerships.
Position
As Global Business Development Director, you are responsible for accelerating the international growth of a specialised business area focused on semiconductors and advanced technology. You help shape the commercial strategy and translate market and technology developments into concrete growth opportunities.
Your mandate goes beyond responding to existing demand. You identify opportunities early, build trusted relationships with senior decision makers and actively shape future projects and propositions. Acting as a market maker, you connect clients, technology partners, research institutes and technical specialists to develop opportunities before they reach the formal tender stage.
The role combines external market leadership with strong internal influence. You work across countries and disciplines to mobilise the right expertise behind strategic opportunities, while remaining personally involved with key clients and commercial initiatives. You also play an active role in strengthening and further developing the international Electronics team, connecting people, expertise and market opportunities across countries.
For an entrepreneurial commercial leader, this is a rare opportunity to shape the next phase of growth in one of the most dynamic technology markets in Europe.

Personal profile

You combine strategic perspective with sufficient technical depth to operate credibly in a sophisticated high-tech environment. You are internationally oriented, culturally sensitive and effective at influencing without relying on formal authority. Connecting people, expertise and interests comes naturally to you.
You thrive in a knowledge-intensive environment where commercial success is built through expertise, trust and long-term relationships rather than transactional selling.
