Job summary

Avantium is seeking a Business Development Manager to commercialize Glycolic Acid in the Personal Care sector, reporting to the Chief Product Officer. You will identify opportunities, negotiate with distributors and brand owners, and drive partnerships to scale Volta Technology.

You will lead market analysis, align strategies with product specifications, and travel internationally up to 50% to engage with customers, conferences and partners.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Business, or Commercial area.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop business opportunities in the Personal Care segment to support the Volta Technology.
• Acquire new opportunities with key customers and convert these into offtake agreements for Demonstration and Flagship Plants.
• Set up Distributor Agreements with distributors in the Personal Care segment.
• Develop and execute a commercialization strategy for Glycolic Acid in the Personal Care market.
• Monitor market insights and translate data into strategic focus for opportunities.
• Collect and convert customer requirements into technical product specifications.
• Represent Volta at conferences to raise awareness, generate leads, and build partnerships.
