Job summary

Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC is seeking a Software Commissioning & Support Engineer to configure, commission, and support high‑quality folder gluers. You will ensure smooth machine operation, provide remote and on‑site technical support, and contribute to continuous improvement of automation systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field related to automation.
• 5–10 years of experience in industrial automation, commissioning or field service.
• Strong PLC programming and motion control background.
• Experience with Sigmatek hardware preferred; knowledge of B&R, Siemens, or Rockwell valuable.
• Hands-on troubleshooting without extensive documentation and knowledge of Dutch standards.

Responsibilities

• Configure and commission PLC-based motion and control software for folder gluers.
• Integrate and test automation systems including motion control and HMI.
• Provide remote and on-site customer support and troubleshoot issues under time pressure.
• Diagnose software and hardware faults by opening cabinets and checking wiring.
• Collaborate with R&D and engineering teams for improvements and upgrades.
• Train operators and maintenance staff on machine operation and software use.
• Document commissioning activities and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
