Job summary

Databricks is seeking an AI Engineer for its AI Forward Deployed Engineering team in Amsterdam. You will build GenAI applications, deploy them at production scale, and advise customers across domains on AI strategy and implementation.

You will work closely with product and engineering teams, travel to customer sites roughly every 4–8 weeks, and contribute to shaping the product roadmap with cutting-edge GenAI techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience building GenAI applications, including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning.
• Expertise deploying production-grade GenAI applications, including evaluation and optimizations.
• Hands-on data science experience with pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.
• Experience deploying ML on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Interest in collaboration and driving business value through AI; Databricks/ Spark experience preferred.
• Willing to travel every 4-8 weeks to visit customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop cutting-edge GenAI solutions using latest Databricks research.
• Own production rollouts of GenAI applications for customers.
• Serve as trusted technical advisor across domains.
• Present at Data + AI Summit and internal/external forums.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to influence priorities and roadmap.
