KPN in Amsterdam is hiring an AI (Platform) Engineer to build reusable GenAI building blocks and deploy scalable AI solutions on Azure. You will work on the central GenAI Gateway, manage model lifecycles, and implement CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with business stakeholders and engineers.

The role blends hands-on cloud engineering with GenAI strategy, in a hybrid work setup. You will leverage OpenAI and other models, ensure production-grade quality, and contribute to the GenAI Lab roadmap

Qualifications

• 5+ years as AI/ML Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or similar role.
• Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Strong Python proficiency for GenAI apps and automation.
• Solid experience with Azure cloud services.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates).
• Experience building production-grade GenAI applications.
• Knowledge of vector databases (Azure AI Search).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
• Deep knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD, version control and release management.
• Excellent software engineering practices: coding standards, reviews, testing, security, observability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain central GenAI Gateway (LLM Gateway) on Azure with OpenAI and non-OpenAI models.
• Manage lifecycle of deployed LLMs and models.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for deployments and testing.
• Define priorities and influence GenAI Lab roadmap.
• Integrate AI capabilities into business processes and IT/data platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine and implement solutions.
