Job summary

Destinus seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and optimize gas turbine components, including mixed centrifugal and axial compressor stages, rotor shafts, and bearing systems. You will analyze thermomechanical material behavior under extreme conditions and define precise tolerances for high-speed assemblies.

You will collaborate with testing teams, use FEA to support decisions, and generate detailed CAD models and drawings to meet manufacturability goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
5+ years of experience in gas turbine or high‑performance rotating machinery design.
Experience with stress analyses and rotor dynamics is a plus.
Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools.

Responsibilities

Design and optimize gas turbine components including mixed centrifugal and axial compressor stages.
Analyze thermomechanical behavior of materials under extreme operating conditions.
Define precise tolerances and clearances for high‑speed assemblies.
Collaborate with testing teams and generate technical documentation.
Perform stress analyses and use FEA to support design decisions.
