Job summary

Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas) invites a Gameplay Programmer (0.8-1 FTE) to join Cradle, BUas' R&D lab. You will implement gameplay systems across Unity/Unreal, collaborating with designers, artists and other programmers to deliver high-quality experiences.

Work includes debugging, performance tuning, and staying up-to-date with tech trends. A hybrid work option, relocation support, pension and holiday provisions are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience as gameplay programmer in the game industry.
• Proficiency with Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Strong C++ and/or C# skills; other languages a plus.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail; teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain gameplay systems and mechanics.
• Debug, optimise and ensure cross-platform performance.
• Solve technical problems and write clean, maintainable code.
• Collaborate with designers, artists and other programmers.
• Document code and technical processes for knowledge sharing.
• Present and demonstrate work to external partners.
