Job summary

Salt is seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Online Agent team in Amsterdam for a 3–6 month contract, starting ASAP. You will work across backend and frontend technologies, delivering high-quality software used at scale.

As a Software Engineer, you will own technical delivery from concept to production, collaborating with product managers, QA, and fellow developers. You will work across the stack using Java and React, focusing on quality, scalability, and customer value.

Qualifications

• Strong backend experience in Java (Spring Boot or similar).
• Strong frontend experience with React.
• Proven full-stack delivery capability across frontend and backend.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and testing.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, debugging, and CI/CD.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to estimate work, manage priorities, and deliver quality solutions independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services with Java Spring.
• Build intuitive and responsive front-end experiences using React.
• Own features end-to-end from design through deployment and production support.
• Participate in architecture and system design discussions.
• Write clean, maintainable code and develop automated tests.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and QA teams to deliver quality solutions.
• Monitor and improve application performance and reliability.
• Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate progress, risks, blockers, and trade-offs clearly.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
