Job summary

Svenska Handelsbanken AB is expanding its local IT department in Amsterdam to hire a Full Stack Developer with broad Java and React experience. You will develop and integrate local applications, collaborate across teams, and help evolve our banking software in a fast-paced, open environment.

We expect a Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT with 5+ years of software development in a DevOps setting, strong Java and React skills, and knowledge of PostgreSQL and Jakarta EE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in IT or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience in a DevOps team.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ and React.

Responsibilities

• Bridge between business needs and IT solutions by gathering requirements and translating them into IT solutions.
• Write clean, reliable, and secure code with automated tests and code reviews.
• Bring new features to life and maintain existing solutions, including upgrades.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration across the Netherlands.
• Participate in daily scrums, refinement, reviews, and planning sessions.
