Job summary

Handelsbanken in Amsterdam Zuid Oost is seeking a Full Stack Developer with broad experiences in Java and React to join our local IT department. You will bridge business needs and IT solutions by gathering requirements and translating them into robust software, while contributing to both front-end and back-end development for our Netherlands applications.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years in software development within a DevOps team, strong Java 17+ and Jakarta EE, React on the front end,

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in IT.
5+ years of professional software development in a DevOps team.
Experience in the banking sector is a big plus.
Excellent English speaking and writing skills; Dutch is a plus.
Willing to travel abroad occasionally.

Responsibilities

Bridge between business needs and IT solutions by gathering requirements and translating them into IT solutions.
Ensure code is clean, reliable, and secure through automated tests and code reviews.
Bring new features to life and maintain existing solutions with technical upgrades.
Collaborate closely with other teams for seamless integration.
Participate in daily scrums, refinement, reviews, and planning sessions.
Continuously develop professional skills and knowledge.
