Job summary

The Brink Agency in Amsterdam is seeking a senior leader to drive large-scale web projects across digital branding and product experiences. You will steer cross-functional teams, manage complex web initiatives, and mentor engineers while delivering innovative solutions.

You’ll work with PHP/Node.js, Laravel, Strapi.js, React/Next.js, Tailwind and WordPress, design robust APIs (REST/GraphQL), and operate in Linux environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of work experience, including 5+ years in a leadership/team lead role and the ability to drive digital innovation.
• Advanced backend skills with PHP, Node.js, and databases.
• Experience with Laravel and Strapi.js, plus API design (REST/GraphQL) and tools like Postman.
• Experience on Linux/command line and frontend with React.js and Next.js, CSS3, Tailwind.
• Experience with WordPress is a plus; mobile development and 3D/WebGL are a plus.

Who are you?

• 10+ years work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership or team lead role, with the ambition and ability to lead teams, manage complex web projects, and drive digital innovation forward.
• Advanced backend skills using PHP, Node.js and Databases.
• Experience with at least one popular backend framework (Our stack: Laravel, Strapi.js).
• Strong knowledge developing and using APIs (REST, GraphQL etc.) and using tools like Postman.
• Experience using Linux and the command line.
• Experience on frontend using React.js and Next.js.
• Experience with CSS3 and Tailwind.
• Experience with WordPress is a plus.
• Experience with mobile development is a plus.
• Experience with web animations(Our stack: GSAP, Framer Motion) is a plus.
• Experience with WebGL and 3D developmentis a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in a digital creative agency or a fast-paced, innovative environment.
• Familiarity with web design and user experience principles.
• Familiarity with creating immersive WebGL-powered 3D web experiences, combined with a strong understanding of web design and user experience principles.
