Job summary

Suitsupply is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead for our Shopify storefront to own the technical vision, set coding standards, and lead a frontend engineering team from Amsterdam. You will work closely with product managers and designers to ensure scalable, high‑quality releases.

You will define architecture across markets, manage technical debt, and own integrations with Shopify APIs, UI Extensions, and Sanity CMS. A strong background in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and headless commerce is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production web apps with React and TypeScript
• 2+ years in a tech lead or lead architecture role
• Experience with headless commerce and Shopify Hydrogen
• Familiar with GraphQL and CMS integrations
• Experience across multi-market e-commerce and performance

Responsibilities

• Define and own the storefront architecture across markets and devices
• Lead frontend engineers through architecture decisions and reviews
• Make technology choices and communicate rationale to team and stakeholders
• Balance delivery velocity with technical health and manage debt
• Own integration strategy with Shopify APIs, UI Extensions, Sanity CMS
• Define testing strategy with QA for unit, integration, end-to-end
• Set bars for performance, accessibility, security and reliability
• Drive frontend chapter with shared standards and practices
