Frontend Developer & UX Designer - Temporary (NL Based)

We are looking for a creative and technical Front-end Developer with experience in UX/UI Design. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing front-end applications, actively contributing to UI/UX issues, and ensuring seamless collaboration with back-end developers. Additionally, you will provide valuable input in improving the usability and accessibility of the products.

Responsibilities

• Expanding the front-end of the application;
• Contributing to UI/UX issues;
• Coordinating with back-end developers from the front-end;
• Ensuring the deployments in the OTAP process;
• Promoting front-end within the organization;
• Advising on issues related to performance, usability, and accessibility;
• Testing the application for usability and accessibility from the front-end;
• Giving a demo to stakeholders during a bi-weekly sprint review;
• Leading meetings with stakeholders to gather their requirements and wishes;
• Processing requirements and wishes into well-developed user stories;
• Creating UX & UI designs that support the user stories.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing front-end applications;
• Knowledge of and experience with UX/UI design principles;
• Proficiency in working with Vue.js and TypeScript;
• Familiarity with tools such as Pinia, Vue Router, VueI18n, Kermit (company design system) and Tailwind CSS;
• Experience in application testing, including unit testing with Vitest and end-to-end testing with Playwright;
• Experience with the Scrum development methodology and using Jira for backlog and sprint management;
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and experience with GitHub and GitHub Actions;
• Familiarity with using Figma for UX/UI design;
• Ability to think critically about UI/UX issues and provide advice on performance, usability, and accessibility;
• Experience facilitating meetings with stakeholders and drafting user stories;
• Good communication skills and collaboration with back-end developers.

For a freelancer, we can offer an all-in hourly rate of around €80 - €89 per hour. If you are not a freelancer, we can offer a contract through Independent Recruiters. The salary we can offer you for this is around €6000 - €7000 gross per month.
